Winchester Model 1895 Lever Action 30US / 30-40 Krag - Made in 1903

Crafted in the early run of Winchester’s iconic lever-action classics the Model 1895, chambered in
.30-40 Krag, is a rare standout that blends historical prestige with robust performance.
Its internal box magazine enabled the safe use of modern spitzer bullets—making it a technical leap
in lever-action design. This rifle is not simply a nostalgic artifact; it's one of the few Winchester
actions powerful enough to handle smokeless, high-pressure cartridges of its time.

The rifle is most commonly associated today with former President Theodore Roosevelt as his
favourite hunting gun for big game..
