The Winchester Model 1892 lever-action rifle chambered in .25-20 Winchester (WCF) is a classic,
lightweight historic firearm designed by John Browning.
Introduced in 1892 as a stronger, lighter successor to the Model 1873 to handle popular pistol caliber
and intermediate cartridges.
The .25-20 WCF cartridge was added to the Model 1892 lineup in August 1895. It is a bottlenecked
cartridge necked down from the .32-20.
Original vintage Model 1892 rifles were produced by Winchester from 1892 until 1941, with over one
million total units built.

Meatl surfaces are blued finish - Hexagonal Barrel is at +/-15% and receiver is at about 10% - has a few
marks and wear in patches on the surfaces of the receiver sides. Good condition considering the gun
is over 117 years old !!

Barrel is 24 inches long with a fair bore and a full length magazine under the barrel.
Lever-action repeating with dual vertical locking bolts.
.
Gun appears to operate as it should.
