POLICE SHAKO. 1) Very nice early WWII German Army Artillery visor cap. The cap has a light sage green crown with a dark green band and red piping throughout. The front of the crown has an early silvered Wehrmacht eagle coupled with a bullion cap wreath on the band. Black visor with a tan underside. Tan sweatband cream colored liner. CONDITION: cap shows suprizingly light wear with only a few minor stains. The interior is well worn with ample sweat stains. The sweat shield is missing. 2) A rare white Police shako for the Traffic Police or Verkehrspolizei. White enameled leather body large gold Police eagle on the front with gold side posts. Nice Robert Lubstein label on the interior with the classic "EREL" diamond. Tan 9-tongue liner with integral sweatband. CONDITION there is no chinstrap or cockade. Finish is good with minor scuffs and finish cracks. The left side post is missing. (02-24216/BF). NON-GUN. $1,400-1,800.
