WWI German 1915 Dated DWM Luger Semi-Automatic Pistol, #8623, 9mm cal., 4" barrel, blue finish, straw colored small parts, checkered walnut grips, inverted-"V" front sight, fixed rear sight with small "V"-notched groove, with stock lug. Includes one mis-matched tin plated magazine with wood base, numbered "1273g+" on the base, no other markings. Pistol is marked "DWM" on toggle with "1915" date on top of chamber. Right side of receiver with three "(crown)/script letter" military proofs and test fire proof mark. All visible numbers matching (excluding the magazine), including both grips. Condition is fine, retaining approx. 93%-94% original blue, with edge and muzzle wear accounting for most of the finish loss. Front and backstrap are strong, showing light wear to the stock lug. There is light pitting visible at the muzzle, sideplate, and takedown lever, with mild salt and pepper blemishes on the straw colored parts. Factory lettering and proof marks are clear. Small parts retain approx. 60%-65% thinning and toning straw colors. Grips show moderate age and wear, with a larger flat spot on the upper section of the right panel. There is also a small piece missing from behind the safety lever on the left panel. Action and hold open function properly. Bore is bright, no frosting or erosion, rifling is good. Est.: $1,200-$1,800. (C&R/PPT)
