WWI 1917 Dated DWM Artillery Luger with Stock, Holster, and Tools, #3806c, 9mm cal., 8" barrel, blued finish, straw colored small parts, checkered walnut grips, inverted-"V" front sight, adjustable tangent rear sight with small "V"-notched groove, and stock lug. Includes one blued steel magazine with wood base; base is numbered and matching but in large font. Pistol is marked "DWM" on the toggle with "1917" date on the chamber. Right side of receiver with three "crowned" gothic letters and Imperial firing proof. Right side of rear sight base also with firing proof. All visible numbers matching, including the back of each grip. Includes non-matching wood stock, black leather holster, cleaning rod, and takedown tool. Stock is numbered "156f" and is in good condition, with scattered dents and scratches. One of the leather straps attached to the stock has a nickel plated "Lift This Side" snap. Black leather holster has an illegible makers stamp on inside of the flap over "Berlin/191?" and the name "F.C. Foss" scratched into the surface. Inside of the body with Bekleidungsamt des Armeekorps "B.A. III" stamp. Holster is also in good condition, showing honest age and wear, with moderate cracking and creasing to the leather, stitching is not frayed or loose. Pistol is in fine condition overall, retaining approx. 93% original blue, with expected light handling marks. Edge wear accounts for much of the finish loss. Approx. 80%-85% straw colors are present on the small parts. Grips show moderate age and wear, especially on the right panel, which has some darkening and flattening of the checkering detail. Action and hold open function properly. Bore rates near excellent overall and is bright throughout with well-defined rifling. Magazine body shows moderate rub wear, small dents, and scratches to the base. Est.: $1,800-2,400. (C&R/PPT)
