WWI 1916 Dated Erfurt M1914 Luger Semi-Automatic Pistol, #9133c, 9mm cal., 4" barrel, dark blue finish, straw colored small parts, smooth wood grips, inverted-V front sight, fixed rear sight with small V-notched groove, with stock lug. Includes one unmarked nickel plated magazine with wood base. Also included is a reproduction black leather holster with spurious maker's and Waffenamt marks. Pistol is marked "(Crown)/ERFURT" on the toggle link, with "1916" date on top of the chamber. Right side of receiver with three "crowned" gothic letters and Imperial firing proof. Additionally, there is a firing proof and "(Crown)/RG" Imperial rework proof mark on the barrel and right side of the receiver. Left side of the frame is stamped with "S.P" police marking. Sideplate does not match. Other visible numbers are matching, including the firing pin. Pistol is in fair condition, and at least partially refinished some time ago, retaining most of the blue. There is considerable pitting and erosion scattered throughout; heaviest towards the front of the receiver, sideplate, and barrel. Front and backstrap with numerous freckles of surface rust. Some of the small proof marks are only partially visible, and the remainder of the markings are clear. Small parts retain approx. 40% thinning and toning straw colors, with some spots of light pitting. Grips are very good but fit a little loosely. Action and hold open function properly. Bore is primarily bright with mild etching scattered throughout; rifling is clear and rates good. Magazine shows moderate age and wear with remnants of old, dried grease on the body. Holster is near excellent. Est.: $700-900. (C&R/PPT)
