Cal. 8mm (Mauser). S# 731b. Bbl. 22". Standard G41 sights with hooded front. Bottom metal parts are mismatched & stock appears unnumbered but remaining visible parts are matching to receiver. AC43 coded Walther G41 rifle. Bolt carrier has had top charging handle removed & moved to right side. Blued finish. Walnut stock with bakelite handguard, left side sling provisions & leather sling. Left side of stock has very faint German inspection stamps. Cleaning rod present. CONDITION: sanded stock has a large patch repair on left side of action, a small crack on right side ahead of rear band, a couple small chips, scattered dings & handling marks. Metal retains 30-40% original blue with overall fading to gray, some possible old-touch up, operational wear, some dings on bottom metal, oxidation, handling marks & edge wear. Action functions properly when hand cycled. Bright near excellent bore. PROVENANCE: Military Museum Collection of Shooters Outpost, Hooksett NH. (26-2534/MJC). CURIO. $4,000-6,000.
