Cal. 22 LR. S# 49236. Bbl. 23". Model 63 semi-automatic rifle mfg. by Winchester in 1942. The left side of the bbl. exhibits standard markings denoting Winchester's mfg. information, as well as the model and cal. designations. Metal components exhibit a reapplied blue finish blue finish overall, save for on the bolt, which is polished in-the-white. High grade plain wood pistol grip buttstock and forend, with smooth steel buttplate and Winchester black hard rubber pistol grip. Wood furniture has been sanded and revarnished at one time. Dovetailed Marble natural white beaded blade front sight, with dovetailed Marbles flip-up U-notch rear sight. Bbl. and receiver tang have been drilled and tapped. Receiver and bbl. are fitted with a Weaver M8 2.5x Compact scope. Matching numbers are present on the upper and lower assemblies. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their reapplied blue finish, exhibiting some spots of light to mild wear, as well as scattered spots of oxidation and light pitting, which are primarily present on the receiver. S#s on upper and lower assembles show softening, but otherwise remain legible. Mirror bore, exhibiting well defined rifling throughout. Wood furniture is good, as refinished, exhibiting some scattered superficial marks from handling and storage, with a crack present on the right side of the wrist, stemming from the receiver.
