Cal. 25-20. S# 3153. Mfg. 1925. Bbl. 22" Light weight with elevator adjustable sporting rear sight and integral ramp mounted Lyman brass bead sporting sight. Introduced by Winchester in 1924 as an upgraded version of the model 92, production ceased in 1932 following the Great Depression with a total production run of only 25,000 units. Rifle features a full blue metal finish straight grain walnut forend and straight grip buttstock with grooved steel buttplate. CONDITION: barrel, mag tube, & takedown mechanism retain 92% original blue with a few scattered light scratches. There are two small spots of clean pitting approx. 4.5" and 7.5" muzzle receiver retains 80% bright original blue with flaking losses mainly on left side. Rear portion of upper tang has been cleaned to gray. Very goods stock set, shows original finish with a few scattered light handling marks and impressions. Minor finish loss at left side of heel. Crisp bore with sharp rifling. (26-1872/BH). CURIO. $2,000-3,000.
