Cal. 460 Wby. Mag. S# H107592. Bbl. 26" factory ported and without provision for sights. Mfg. 1972-1994 by Howa of Japan as indicated by "H" in serial number; those with "S" also made by Howa. Action has "South Gate" markings; left side markings filled with Bonanza Gold. Stock appears to be Mesquite having Rosewood grip cap and forend tip spaced with Maple. Grip cap has white diamond inlay at base. Monte Carlo design with raised cheekpiece. Skip line checkering and sling studs. Checkered panels on top and bottom of bolt knob plus jeweling on its fluted bolt body. Recoil pad is black (normally brown) ventilated Pachmayr Model D550 Trap variation professionally installed after production (normal 13 1/2" LOP). Hinged floorplate with light engraving and "Weatherby Custom" banner across mid section; release is in front of triggerguard. Redfield one piece scope base with Leupold 1" scope rings. Gloss finished 2-7X33 Leupold Vari-X II Duplex reticle scope. CONDITION: extreme scrutiny will yield a couple of very faint handling marks on stock set plus the heel portion of recoil pad has a very slight deformation due to supporting weight of rifle in an upright position; all other aspects are near excellent including bore and scope set. (26-460/NW). MODERN. $2,750-3,750.
