SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL. Cal. 22 LR. S# 109308P. Bbl. 3 13/16". Model PP semi-automatic pistol chambered in .22 LR mfg. by Walther circa. 1938. Left side of the slide is marked with the Walther banner logo, followed by Walther's mfg. information, as well as the model and cal. designations. Right side of frame (on chamber), slide, and bbl. exhibit a German Crown/N commercial nitro proof. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall, save for on the chamber area of the frame, which is polished in-the-white. Safety / decocking lever exhibits a nitre blue finish. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered black synthetic Walther banner logo grips. Slide features a grooved matte rib, with an integral blade front sight and dovetailed U-notch rear sight. Interior of slide is etched with what appears to be an upside down "6V6". MAGS: x1 blued steel 10-rd. with black synthetic grip extension. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: Towson Holster brown leather holster. CONDITION: metal components retain the vast majority of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting a few scattered spots of light to mild wear (primarily on edges), as well as some scattered light superficial handling marks overall. Near mirror bore, exhibiting some scattered spots of very light pitting, while retaining well defined rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics, to include the safety / decocking lever. Grips show some light smoothing, as well as some superficial marks from handling and storage, but otherwise remain sound. Holster remains malleable, exhibiting some superficial handling marks, spots/areas of discoloration, and light age related cracking and crazing. A very nice and desirable example of a Pre-War Walther Model PP chambered in .22 LR. (26-1232/MLW). CURIO. $1,200-1,800.
