Cal. 45-70 Govt. S# 245130. Over 200,000 rifles were mfg from 1886-91. Fitted with the standard 32.5" bbl with iron block front sight that has a pinned blade insert, Buffington rifle rear sight, and standard "V/P/EAGLE/P" proofs. Low arch 1884 dated breech block. Boxed "SWP/1883" & serif "P" final inspection proofed stock with steel "US" buttplate. CONDITION: Overall very fine. The bbl has 90% original lightly thinning blue with some socket bayo wear. The breech block has 98% vivid case colors. Stock is very fine with crisp cartouches and a few scattered light handling marks. Bore has good rifling with some darkness and pitting.
