Cal. 6.5 Jap. S# 64279 Bbl. 31 1/2". Blade front sight with protective ears. Ladder rear sight graduated to 2400. Matching serial numbers on receiver, safety & dust cover. Unable to check floorplate due to stuck button. Extractor appears unnumbered, while other small parts have assembly numbers. Receiver ring has fully intact mum with T38 markings. Left side of receiver has 24th series & Kokura markings. Blued finish with strawed small parts. Asian hardwood stock with bottom mounted sling swivels. Underside of butt has strong Kanji stamps. Rear band is a bit loose. Cleaning rod present. Two tags are attached one that states this rifle was purchased in 1967 for $10 from Pope's Cafe & another that describes the rifle & its condition. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: Tokyo Arsenal/Kokura bayonet with in-the-white blade & hooked crossguard & scabbard. Handles have "183" rack number". CONDITION: stock set retains a high degree of Urushi finish with scattered dings, handling marks & finish loss. Metal retains 85% original blue with scattered fading & oxidation more heavy on bolt release-. Action functions properly when hand cycled. Bore is full of cosmoline but has good rifling.
