Canada Post is temporarily suspending parcel acceptance to select European Union destinations due to new EU customs requirements for low value shipments.
Effective July 1, the European Union introduced:

Confiscation by Border/Customs Agencies
We are not responsible for items seized or confiscated by customs or border agencies. No refunds will be issued in these cases.
Account Approval (USA & amp; International Bidders)
All USA and international bidders will receive an email requesting confirmation that they have read, understand, and accept the USA and International bidder Terms & amp; Conditions. Tariffs, Duties & amp; Shipping
Tariffs, duties, Import VAT, taxes and other import fees may be charged on items being shipped. These assessments are based on the original place of manufacture, not the point of purchase. Rates fluctuate and are assessed at the time of shipping. Any duties, tariffs, VAT, taxes or brokerage fees are the buyer's responsibility.
You are solely responsible for ensuring your purchase is importable into your country. Confirm with your governing authority and with your chosen exporter that export/import is permitted prior to bidding. Not all firearms or related items are importable/exportable from Canada. If we are unable to ship an item to you, or it is later deemed “not importable/exportable,” the item will have to be resold at the next opportunity. Regular commission charges will apply to that secondary sale. We will not be responsible for regulation changes that occur.
Storage Fees & amp; Resale
Storage fees of $5.00 per item per month will be charged on all items that we have not been able to send to your exporter within 120 days of the sale. If you are unable to complete the transaction within 1 year, the item(s) will be resold at a subsequent auction. Our reselling rate of 25% will apply to all resells.

We will return your answer by email. If you wish to speak with one of our staff please include a phone number that you can be reached at. Firearm ratings in the online listing are subjective and are of visual opinion, no mechanical inspection or test firing is undertaken by Switzer’s. Any concern must be addressed with a recognized gunsmith prior to firing any firearm.
CANADIAN BIDDERS:
Firearm, Ammunition, and Cartridge Magazine purchasers require a valid P.A.L. (Possession and Acquisition License). All restricted and prohibited firearms are registered with the Canadian Firearms Program and will be transferred to the purchaser following the completion of the sale and receipt of full payment. It is the purchaser’s responsibility to determine that they have the correct category of license for the intended purchase prior to bidding. You will require a P.A.L. for all Prohibited/Restricted/Non-Restricted category firearms. No P.A.L. is required for Antique category firearms.
Cartridge Magazine, Ammunition and Firearms will be shipped to an address on file with the CFO.
Ammunition and Firearms cannot be shipped in the same box.
Ammunition will be shipped with UPS or Purolator depending on your location and restrictions. We will ship Ammunition to your address on file with the CFO.
Any items that are purchased that we are not able to deliver/ or you don’t have a valid license to possess will be sold at the next opportunity, regular commission charges apply to that secondary sale.
As we are selling Firearms, Ammunition and Cartridge Magazines, it is imperative that bidders/customers provide us their correct information. We require your full correct name as shown on your PAL, PAL number, date of birth, the mailing address that is associated with your PAL. All sales are final and not subject to conditions. All merchandise is sold 'As Is' without recourse to the vendor. All goods advertised or displayed are subject to withdrawal prior to sale within the discretion of the auctioneer. The Auctioneers may reject a bid at their discretion without reason or explanation. Bid increments are fixed for online only auctions. Bid increments are fixed for the pre-bidding and maximum bid portion of Online/Live auctions. Once the sale goes Live the Auctioneer has the option to adjust the bid increments.
Placing your bid is your acceptance of all Terms and Conditions, Buyer's Premium, Taxes, Shipping, Pick up and Payment information. Please read them before bidding. Bid retractions will only be permitted when we have made a gross description error, obvious customer bid input errors ($5000.00 instead of $500.00).
In the case that we must resell a lot to a back bidder you are responsible for the difference between your bid and theirs, buyers premium and taxes.

LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY:
Except as expressly provided above, all property is sold “As Is'. Switzer's Auction nor the Consignor makes any representation or warranty, express or implied, as to the title, merchantability, fitness or condition of the property or as to the correctness of description, genuineness, attribution, provenance or period of the property or as to whether the purchaser acquires any copyrights or other intellectual property rights in lots sold or as to whether a work of art is subject to the artist's moral rights or other residual rights of the artist. All Firearms and Ammunition are sold as Collector lots only. Fitness to fire or otherwise discharge the Firearm or Ammunition is expressly denied by Switzer's Auction. A competent Gunsmith should be consulted before attempting to use or fire any Firearm or Ammunition. The Purchaser expressly acknowledges and agrees that in no event shall Switzer's Auction be liable for any damages including without limitation any compensatory, incidental, or consequential damages.
The absence of a condition statement does not imply that the lot is in perfect condition or completely free from wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging. Specific condition requests can be obtained via email at admin@switzersauction.com. Any statement given is strictly an opinion and should not be treated as a statement of fact. Switzer's Auction shall not be responsible for any error or omissions in lot listings.
DE-ACTIVATIONS: We are licensed to perform de-activations. Prices to de-activate vary depending on the type and complexity of the work needed to be performed. We de-activate to the Canadian Firearms Technical Inspection standard, this standard may not meet the standard for export to foreign Countries. Please email admin@switzersauction.com for quotes to de-activate prior to bidding, minimum fee is $100.00 and can increase to $450.00 + for a complicated fully automatic machine gun. Firearms de-activated by Switzer’s will be reported to the Canadian Firearms Registry and once approved a letter of de-activation will be provided.
We sell firearms that have been previously de-activated by others, these may not meet current or exportable standards. Firearms de-activated by other may or may not have a “de-activation letter” available. We are not able to search for letters for firearms de-activated by others.
