SHOTGUN. Cal. 12ga. S# 1012628; matches on receiver and bbl extension. 20 3/4" bbl. Bbl markings include "WINCHESTER - MODEL 12 - 12GA - 2 3/4 CHAM CYL". Receiver is marked on the lower right side "U.S." and flaming bomb. Bbl is marked on top with flaming bomb. Bayonet adapter and ventilated handguard; adapter is unmarked, handguard has 4 rows of holes. Silver colored bead front sight. Sling swivels fitted in bayonet adapter and buttstock. Walnut stock set. Buttstock is marked on left side with boxed "G.H.D. / crossed cannons". Buttstock with fluted comb has Winchester buttplate. Grooved slide handle. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: Model 1917 bayonet. 16 3/4" fullered blade; 21 5/8" overall. Blade marked on left ricasso "1917" and encircled "W" indicating Winchester Mfg. Right ricasso marked "flaming bomb / U.S., eagle head Acceptance Mark and X". Smooth walnut grips with 2 grooves. Leather scabbard has metal throat and tip. Leather has been colored green. Scabbard in good serviceable condition. Bayonet has been sharpened. Grips show moderate wear and scratches. CONDITION: stock set has added gloss finish over original finish with moderate wear, scratches and handling marks throughout. Metal retains 90% of its arsenal rework blue finish. Bayonet adapter and handguard have dull blue finish with light wear. Bore has lightly frosted appearance with streaks of fouling.
