Circa 1916+/- (prior to the US entering the conflict). This lot contains an 11" x 12" scrapbook titled "OFFICIAL US ARMY DIVISION INSIGNIA" from the E.H Kluge Weaving Company, West New York, NJ; in consultation with Major General John F. O'Ryan. This book contains 94 WWI era Liberty Loan patches from various Divisions, Corps, Units etc. Included with the scrapbook is a book titled "PRINCESS IN PARADISE" by Alexandra K. Schmeckebier that reportedly contains family history of the original owner of the scrapbook. CONDITION: scrapbook has a loose, torn binding and is quite faded. The patches show no wear, but have been glued to the paper inside the scrapbook. The Princess in Paradise book shows very light wear. (02-26423/BF). NON-GUN. $2,500-3,500.
