Cal. 30-06. S# 1108322. Bolt is electro-penciled to match. Bbl. 24". Replacement barrel marked behind front sight "SA / flaming bomb / 8-44". Ladder rear sight graduated to 2,850 yards. Rear sight base is Remington type without lightening cuts. Remington marked 1903A3 replacement bolt assembly. Receiver is cut with the oval ejection port used on the Mark I rifle. No other Mark I parts are present. All milled furniture, except stamped buttplate and butt swivel. Late type Model 1903A3 pistol grip walnut stock marked on the left side with faint boxed "C-SAA" indicating overhaul at the San Antonio Arsenal. Stock has boxed "P" proof and "TTI" at end of pistol grip. Stock has been modified on the right side for bolt handle clearance. Walnut Model 1903 handguard. CONDITION: stock set has worn arsenal rework type finish with staining and numerous handling marks throughout. Metal retains 75% of its dark parkerized arsenal rework finish with light wear.
