1) 1832 style short sword cast brass handle with Mexican eagle in pommel on both sides, 29" overall, heavy bright 23" saber blade, steel mounted leather scabbard. 2) Rare model 1900 Mondragon Bowie/Machete, 21" overall, 16" heavy clip point blade stamped "REPUBLIC MEXICANA" and numbered on ricasso 1267, fine blued steel mounted leather sheath with attached belt hook. CONDITION: very good overall, blades both bright and shiny, both have very good sheaths, break in leather on short sword. PROVENANCE: estate collection of Compton LaBauve, Jr. (02-26487-1/JS).
