Our Assessment: The Swedish M94-14 Carbine in 6.5x55mm is a distinguished and historically
significant firearm, reflecting Sweden’s commitment to modernizing its military in the late 19th and
early 20th centuries.
The updated M94-14 model included a few key changes, most notably the addition of a bayonet lug,
allowing soldiers to attach a bayonet for close combat.
This modification made the carbine more versatile and effective in various combat situations.
This particular rifle is a converted original Mauser production rifle that was made under contract for
Sweden.
