Used Stevens 044 1/2 English Model 25-25 Stevens Caliber. Serial #2976. This rifle has a 25 7/8" octagon barrel. The bore is in good condition with prominent rifling. It has a combination Beach style front sight and no provision for a rear sight on the barrel. It has a tang peep sight on the rear. The stocks are in good condition with NO cracks, however there are some light dents and scratches as per its age. The bluing is 90% on the barrel. The case colours on the receiver are prominent but are fading in some areas. It comes with a rubber/plastic buttplate which has a small chip out of it. Overall a good rifle.
