Smith & Wesson Model 1950 .45 Target (Pre-Model 26) Double Action Revolver, #S145399, .45 ACP cal., 6.5" pinned barrel, bright blue finish, checkered walnut diamond center two-piece target grips with S&W medallions, Patridge front sight, micrometer adjustable square-notch rear sight, 5-screw frame, color case hardened target hammer and factory ribbed trigger. Matching visible serial numbers, except for grips. Mfgd 1956. Includes five (5) blue steel moon clips. Revolver is in excellent overall condition, retaining approx. 97%-98% factory finish, with light wear at the muzzle. Cylinder shows minor leading edgewear and a faint index line at the rear. Factory markings are clear. Grips are excellent with sharp checkering detail and a non-matching number on the interior of the right panel. Action functions well and locks up securely. Bright bore rates excellent with well-defined rifling. The consignor notes that a Wolff reduced power main spring has been added. Est.: $1,200-$1,500. (C&R)
