LEVER ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 44 HRF. S# 147032. Bbl. 24" in scarce round configuration w/ sporting sights. One of approx. 1,800 model 1866 rifles mfg with a round barrel. Full length mag. Walnut forearm & straight grip stock w/ brass crescent trapdoor buttplate. 1877 manufacture. CONDITION: bbl. & mag. tube have a smooth brown patina appearance. Mag. tube has a few small light dings on either side of the band. Receiver shows a dark lightly mottled patina w/ dents & scratches. Stocks have original finish with a worn appearance, showing scattered light scratches, marks & dents. Mechanically fine. Bore has a darkened appearance w/ sound rifling showing some light pitting. (01-27049/DS). ANTIQUE. $4,000-6,000.
