ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 7.7 Jap. S# 9354. Bbl. 25 1/2". Blade front sight with protective ears. Ladder aperture rear sight graduated to 1500m with AA wings. Bayonet lug & all bolt parts including firing pin are matching to receiver. Front & rear halves match each other as-is correct. Receiver ring has ground mum & T2 markings. Left side of receiver has Nagoya symbol & serial number. Blued finish. Asian hardwood takedown stock with two piece butt & left side sling swivels. Cleaning rod present. Underside of butt has strong Kanji stamps. CONDITION: stock set shows a large gouged area on left of action, a couple other smaller gouges, scattered dings, handling marks & wear. Metal retains 70% original blue with a couple patches of cleaned pitting, scattered oxidation, fading & edge wear. Action functions properly when hand cycled but safety requires a bit of extra force to engage. Bright near excellent bore. PROVENANCE: From the Collection of Joe Tavolacci. (26-420/MJC).
