Remington Model 1891 Rolling Block Pistol, #135, .22 cal., 10" part round/part octagon barrel, no finish, walnut grip and forend, front sight base only (missing blade), and notched elevator rear sight. Matching assembly numbers "1467" located on left side of the grip straps. Matching serial number on left side of upper grip frame and inside the grip. "25" stamped on inside of the forend. Barrel address reads from the breech to the muzzle "REMINGTON ARMS CO. ILION, N.Y." Left side of the frame is marked in two-lines with makers information and "April 17th 1866" last patent date. Overall condition is antique good, metal is gray mixed with mild brown patina, small indentations, and areas of mild pitting. Markings are mostly legible, with small portion of the information on left side of the frame obscured by pitting. Wood shows oil darkening, several dents and scratches to the grip. Action is crisp, but the extractor is missing, and the breechblock fits a little loosely. Bore is fair with worn rifling and general moderate erosion. Est.: $400-$600.
