This is a beautiful condition full wood Remington Model 03-A3 This is an exceptionally clean
example for its age, with a bright, clear bore and strong, sharp rifling.

Serial Number: 3820747 which makes it Year of Manufacture 1942

Caliber: .30-06 Springfield

Action Type: Bolt action, control feed, internal 5 round magazine fed

Markings: The top of the receiver is marked, U.S. REMINGTON MODEL 03-A3 3820747
The mag disconnect is marked, ON / OFF. Safety is marked READY / SAFE
There is a small station R mark on end cap.
On left side of stock is a RA and FJA stamped into the wood just above the trigger..

Barrel Length: 23.5 inch

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a blade set on top of a tall base comes with protective cover. The
rear sight is an adjustable peephole set into a tangent base.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The two piece walnut stock has a steel cap w/ bayonet lug and
stacking loop, barrel band w/ sling loop, straight wrist, straight comb, sling loop, with a knurled
steel buttplate. There are some pressure dents and scratches throughout. but no cracks.

Type of Finish: Parkerized and bluing - Bluing is worn off on mag well cover and trigger guard with
shiny edges.

Bore Condition: The bore is semi-bright and the rifling is sharp. There is light erosion in the bore
along with light spots - this bore rates 7/10. Many military weapons have bores that will show some
erosion.
This is not only due to age but to the fact that corrosive primers were commonly used in military
ammunition worldwide. The U.S. military did not begin to phase out corrosive-primed ammunition
until the 1950s.

Overall condition is 8/10 considering age and use.
