Red Bird's name is written in togia on this revolver as part of the message: "Red Bird-Hunkpapa-son-Rabbit-Red Bird-father-Rabbit". Red Bird married and had five children and fought in the Indian Wars with Gall's Kangiska Band. After the Slim Buttes Battle, he and his wife surrendered at the Red Cloud Agency, later moving to the Porcupine District of the Pine Ridge Reservation.
