Cal. 44 Mag. S# 46. Bbl. 7 1/2" with serrated blade on ramped base; proper "Micro" marked frame mounted adjustable rear sight. Mfg. 1959 (1959-1973) as Model S47 having eagle logo near barrel address (without "INC."). Standard features of wide spur hammer, wide serrated trigger, unfluted counterbored cylinder, drilled through base pin latch, captive collared base pin, flat faced ejector rod head, steel ejector housing plus standard Dragoon style grip frame having varnished walnut grips with black eagle medallions. Does not have factory safety update parts; original lockwork. References state it was originally owned by Jasper "Jack" Packard who was Ruger's 2nd. Service Manager; S# 46 was his subscription number. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: factory mahogany presentation case (properly marked "GENUINE MAHOGANY" on bottom) missing 3 brass Philips head screws for right rear hinge that is detached and enclosed. Brass latches & hinges. Very good appearing exterior w/ some slight scratches on bottom plus very slight dent on front right corner. Near excellent interior. CONDITION: extremely faint beginning cylinder turn line from functioning; all other aspects near excellent appearing unfired. PROVENANCE: Originally owned by Jasper "Jack" Packard from 1959-1985 as part of his #46 collection then by James A. Smith from 1985-2019 as he continued the collection until subscriptions ceased offering all his #46's in Poulin's Fall 2019 Auction. (26-1090/NW). CURIO. $3,000-4,000.
