Cal. 44 Mag. S# 10987. Bbl. 6 1/2" with serrated blade integral to ramped base as front sight plus frame mounted Micro adjustable rear sight having index mark on elevation screw. Mfg. 1958 (1956-1962) as BKH-46 with standard Type 3 (5,300 units) features of flat topped cylinder frame, dimpled ejector rod head, steel offset ejector housing, captive collared base pin, capped base pin latch plus XR3 alloy grip frame with nicely figured contoured rosewood (optional) grips having black eagle medallions. Barrel has Southport address without eagle logo or "INC."; eagle logo on cylinder frame. Does not have factory safety update parts; original lockwork. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: fair to good matching numbered (red grease pencil on label edge) original box with tape repaired breaks on edges and corners (top and bottom). Very nice March 31, 1957 manual for Single-Six, Lightweight, 357 and 44 Blackhawks. Unusual warranty and NRA card made to attach by its string to the triggerguard. Original brown waxed paper included too. CONDITION: one might find a hint of cylinder turn line or the faintest beginning of thinning finish at some high points but overall is simply near excellent to include bore and grips. If only the box had survived as well as the rest of the package. (26-1058/NW). CURIO. $1,000-1,500.
