PACKAGE. Cal. 45-70. S# 131-42140. Bbl. 28" with heavy taper having banded sling base plus Lyman target blocks at front and rear. Mfg. 1978 (1967 to date for all No. 1's) to commemorate 100 years of the Lyman Sight Company. Edition II of 1,000 units numbered "L-78-0671" on bottom front of receiver; floral engraving with Lyman vignette on each side. Alex Henry forend and standard pistol grip buttstock having grip cap, sing base, nice wood figure and Ruger red rubber buttpad; stock set is factory checkered. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: factory mahogany presentation case with Lyman accessories: die set, mould block handles (missing mould block), Centennial Journal, cleaning rod and box of 20 nickel plated Lyman headstamped cartridge cases. Green felt like shadow lined interior has bronze Lyman Centennial plaque. Bottom of case has protective green felt padding. Fitted with piano hinge and 3 latches. Case is about very good but some of the bottom interior section might need some pieces reglued. Separately enclosed in the case is a matching numbered, near excellent reproduction Lyman Centennial 4X target scope with target mounts and screw in lens caps. CONDITION: stock has some very light occasional handling marks to include some wear to checkering diamond tops. Metal finish and bore are near excellent. (26-1542/NW). MODERN. $2,000-3,000.
