RIFLE. Cal. 30-06. S# 156950. Bbl. 24". Model 721 bolt action rifle mfg. by Remington circa. 1950. Left side of the bbl. is marked with Remington's mfg. information, followed by the cal. designation, with date code "W W" marked towards the breech. Left side of the receiver is marked with the S#, Remington trademark logo, and model designation. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall, save for on the bolt body, handle, knob, and cocking piece, which are polished in-the-white. 1-piece plain wood pistol grip stock with added oversized Upland Game red rubber recoil pad. Toeline of stock is fitted with a sling swivel stud, with the forearm stud being absent. Ramped blade front sight (bead absent). Rear sight is absent. Receiver is factory drilled and tapped, featuring 2 Weaver 1" scope rings. CONDITION: metal components retain large amounts of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting wear and thinning fading to gray and brown patinas, with some light surface oxidation overall. Trigger guard and floorplate have been cleaned at one time, exhibiting a gray patina. Bright bore, exhibiting scattered spots and patches of light to mild pitting, while retaining strong rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics. Stock shows scattered superficial marks and minor impressions from handling and storage, as well as a small circular plug repair on the underside of the forearm, but otherwise remains sound.
