RIFLE. Cal. 303 Brit. S# 90L8111. Bbl. 25 1/4" with British sale proofs. Blade front sight with protective ears. Savage made aperture rear sight that properly lacks a battle sight & has what appears to be a faint Canadian "C (Broad Arrow" acceptance stamp. Correct R.E.L. made No. 32 MK3 scope. Scope has post reticle & clear optics. Bolt & scope mount are properly matching numbered to rifle's serial number. Scope tube is correctly matching numbered to top of wrist. This rifle is a top shelf example of a rare military sniper rifle with Long Branch assembling no more than 1200 sniper rifles between 1944-1946. Left of receiver has Long Branch No. 4 MkI* & "T" markings with 1945 date. Receiver ring has "ENGLAND" export marking. Walnut stock set with proper Canadian military acceptance stamps & bottom mounted sling swivels. MAGS: 1-10 rd. unnumbered. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: transit chest marked "CHEST S.A. No. 15 MkI", correct REL canvas scope case, scope cover & No 4 MKI spike bayonet with scabbard. CONDITION: stock set remains in excellent condition with a couple storage dings & some handling marks. Scope & mount show minor oxidation specks. Balance of metal retains 97% original blue with light edge & handling wear. Action functions properly when hand cycled. Bright excellent bore.
