SHOTGUN WITH ORIGINAL FACTORY HOLSTER. Cal. 20 GA. S# 360364. Bbl. 10 1/16". 1 of only approx. 2,500 Model A Auto & Burglar SxS shotguns mfg. by Ithaca Gun Co. between 1921-1934. The top of the right bbl. is marked "- SMOKELESS POWDER STEEL -", with "MADE IN U.S.A." marked on the top of the left bbl. Sides of the receiver are engraved with a small scene of a dog above "AUTO & BURGLAR GUN/ ITHACA GUN CO. ITHACA N.Y.". Frame exhibits a case colored hardened finish, with remaining metal components exhibiting a blue finish. Checkered wood high spur pistol grip and splinter pattern forend. Solid matte rib with brass bead front sight. All serialized parts are matching and include the frame, frame floorplate, bbls., pistol grip (beneath trigger guard tang), and forearm iron. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: original factory tan leather holster. Closure flap is marked "Auto and Burglar Gun/ MADE BY/ ITHACA GUN CO./ ITHACA, N.Y.". CONDITION: frame retains large amounts of its original factory case colored finish, showing some wear and fading, with scattered spots of darkened light to mild surface oxidation present overall. Bbls., bbl. lever, safety switch, trigger, and forend iron retain large amounts of their original factory finish, exhibiting some edge wear, with scattered spots and patches of darkened mild oxidation present overall. Trigger guard has largely faded to a brown patina, exhibiting scattered spots of surface oxidation. Near mirror bores, exhibiting some scattered spots and patches of light pitting. Proper manual mechanics. Wood furniture shows some scattered marks and impressions from handling and storage, but otherwise remains sound and presents nicely. Holster remains malleable, exhibiting some age related cracking and light crazing. Toe shows wear and creasing, with stitching having torn along one edge of the bottom panel.
