GENERALS LEE, HOOD, BEAUREGARD & LONGSTREET. 7" x 5" John Douglas, New Orleans engraved 1866 "Southern Hospital Association for Disabled Soldiers" certificate signed by luminary Confederate generals: Robert E Lee, James Longstreet, John Bell Hood, & PGT Beauregard. Douglas who produced the 1st Confederate bonds engraved a fine vignette of a wounded Confederate soldier receiving aid from Southern Belle. Certificate is issued to Judge Benjamin S. Bibb (1795-1884), a prominent Alabama planter whose son William was killed at Battle of Seven Pines in 1862. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: copy of James Julia auction caption. 6" x 8" Victorian decorated frame that document was displayed in. CONDITION: very good, dark ink signatures, missing upper right corner of paper.
