LUGER HOLSTER, WITH MAGAZINE & "S/42G" MARKED LOADING TOOL. Extremely rare leather P.08 Luger holster mfg. by C. Heinichen in 1935. One of the rarest of all P.08 Luger holsters, few 1935 dated holsters remain today, most likely due to low production or having been thoroughly used throughout the course of World War II. Rear of the holster is marked with a faint "C. HEINICHEN/ DRESDEN.", followed by a droop eagle proof (indiscernible WaA142 proof), and the 4-digit date "1935". Black leather construction, with 2 narrow belt loops on rear. Left belt loop appears to possibly be a period replacement, being notably more narrow than the right. Holster contains an unnumbered blued mag. with aluminum bottom marked "42" and an "S/42G" marked takedown tool. CONDITION: holster remains malleable, exhibiting wear, scattered marks from handling and storage, as well as some areas of light to mild age related cracking. Loading tool provision exhibits some hardening. Closure flap strap exhibits mild age related cracking. Mag. retains the majority of its blue finish, exhibiting areas of wear and thinning that show through to gray patina, as well as areas of pitting overall. Loading tool retains a gray patina, with scattered spots of moderate pitting. An exceptionally desirable 1935 C. Heinichen production P.08 Luger holster, with a mag. and loading tool. (02-24306/MLW). $1,000-1,500.
