RIFLE WITH MATCHING BAYONET. Cal. 30-06. S# 5502-58. Bbl. 23 1/2" including factory muzzle brake. Rifles were produced by Madsen after WWII, and although reliable and effective guns, the market was saturated with war surplus and only Colombia purchased these rifles in limited quantities. Rifle carries the Colombian seal on left side over magazine well. Receiver ring is marked on top "FUERZAS ARMADAS / DE / COLOMBIA". Left receiver rail is marked "MADSEN M.G/A. serial number Cal. .30". Adjustable aperture rear sight graduated to 900 meters. Post front sight in protective hood. European walnut stock features grasping grooves and thick grooved rubber buttpad. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: 8 1/4" double-edged blade bayonet. 12 3/4" overall. Bayonet is serial numbered "5502". Smooth walnut grips. Black finished metal scabbard. Bayonet and scabbard have only very light handling marks. Bayonet has been lightly sharpened on both edges. CONDITION: rifle appears unissued and has only tiny scattered handling marks on the wood and metal. Wood and metal retain nearly all of their original finishes. Near excellent shiny bore.
