BARRELED SHOTGUN WITH SPARE BARREL. Cal. 20 GA, 2 3/4". S# 9066. Bbl. 16 9 /16". Model 21 Skeet SxS shotgun mfg. by Winchester in 1940 and later shortened into a Short Barreled Shotgun. Left side of the bbl. is marked "WINCHESTER - 20 GAUGE/ 2 3/4 CHAM.". Water table is marked with patent information, the model designation, as well as with Winchester's mfg. information. Underside of receiver is marked "SKEET", forward of the trigger guard bow. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall. Checkered wood straight grip buttstock (with flat checkered wood butt) and beavertail forearm. Solid matte rib with aluminum mid-bead and red fiber optic front sight. Left bbl. with fixed WS-2 choke, right with fixed WS-1 choke. All serialized parts are matching and include the receiver, bbls. forearm iron, and forearm. LOP: 14 1/4". UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: spare Winchester Model 21 28" bbl. Bbl. exhibits a blue finish and standard factory markings on the left bbl. Left bbl. features a fixed WS-2 choke, with a fixed WS-1 choke on the right. Solid matte rib with aluminum mid-bead and red synthetic front bead. Bbl. has been renumbered at one time to match. CONDITION: receiver retains large amounts of its original blue finish, with the underside of the receiver, trigger guard, and forearm iron having faded to a gray patina and exhibiting scattered spots of light surface oxidation, pitting, and age related discoloration. Bbl. retains the majority of its blue finish, exhibiting scattered spots of light surface oxidation, with some scattered patches of light to mild pitting. Bbl. lever shows finish flaking and scattered spots of light pitting. Near mirror bores, exhibiting some scattered spots of light oxidation. Wood furniture shows scattered superficial handling marks and some small impressions from handling and storage. Forearm exhibits some cracking on the underside at the rear edge.
