P17 Enfield BAYONET WW1 1913 by Remington

Will fit the above Lot Rifle

Nice example of the issue Bayonet used in WW1 by American Forces.

The Remington Pattern 1913 (P1913) Enfield bayonet is a World War I sword bayonet originally
manufactured in the United States under contract for the British military, which later saw service with
U.S. forces.

Blade mesaures 17 inches long and is in very good condition.Has 1913 9 17 and the word
Remington stamped in one side of blade by the hilt. On the other side is an US plus some hatched
out numbers.
Initially produced as the P1913 for the British Pattern 1914 rifle trials and contracts.
When the United States entered World War I and faced a shortage of Springfield rifles, they adopted
the modified rifle (as the M1917) and absorbed remaining P1913 bayonet stocks, often lining out
British inspection stamps and adding U.S. ordnance markings as done on this Bayonet..

Scabbard is original leather with metal ends.
