One Bear was a member of the Lightning Society and was killed during the Hancock Campaign in 1867. Plenty of Horses picked up his quiver of arrows there and used them in a battle against General Custer, where he lost them. Custer was known to keep war trophies and this arrow was in his collection of items brought to Monroe, Michigan by Elizabeth after George's death at the Little Bighorn.
