HIGH POWER SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL WITH HOLSTER. Cal. 9mm Luger. S# 16602b. Bbl. 4 5/8". High Power semi-automatic pistol mfg. by Fabrique Nationale while under German occupation between January - August of 1944. Left side of the slide is marked "FABRIQUE NATIONALE D'ARMES DE GUERRE/ HERSTAL - BELGIQUE/ BROWNING'S PATENT DEPOSE", followed by an eagle firing proof and an Eagle/WaA140 proof (repeated on left side of frame). Left side of the forward trigger guard web is stamped "MR". Left side of the bbl. is marked with 2 Eagle/WaA140 proofs, with an eagle firing proof marked on the right. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall, save for on the bbl., which is polished in-the-white. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered brown bakelite grips. Thumbprint slide features a fixed half-moon blade front sight and dovetailed U-notch rear sight. All serialized parts are matching in the "stacked" fashion, and include the frame, slide, and bbl. MAGS: 2 non-WaA proofed WWII production blued steel 13-rd. mags with split tail floorplates. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: correct period brown leather holster, marked with an illegible name in black ink on the interior of the closure flap. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their original arsenal blue finish, exhibiting some light to mild edge wear, some scattered superficial handling marks, as well as some scattered spots of light surface oxidation overall. Grip straps exhibit light thinning, with scattered spots of light surface oxidation. Near mirror bore, exhibiting some scattered spots of light pitting, while retaining well defined rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics. Grips are very good overall. Holster remains malleable, exhibiting scattered marks from handling and storage, as well as some scattered spots/areas of age related cracking and crazing.
