PISTOL WITH HOLSTER. Cal. 7.65mm. S# 124621. Bbl. 3 1/8". Model 1913 semi-automatic pistol mfg. by J.P. Sauer & Sohn. The top of the solid slide rib is marked "J.P. SAUER & SOHN, SUHL.", followed by the J.P. Sauer logo. Left side of the slide is marked "PATENT.", with "CAL. 7,65." marked on the right. Right side of frame and bbl., as well as the rear flat of the slide end cap exhibit a Crown/N commercial nitro proof. Metal components exhibit a rust blue finish overall, save for on the safety lever, end cap retention spring / rear sight, and grip screws, which exhibit a nitre blue finish. Bbl. and firing pin are polished in-the-white. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered black hard rubber "S&S" grips. Integral half-moon blade front sight with U-notch rear sight on slide end cap spring. All serialized parts are matching via the assembly # "958", and include the frame, slide, slide end cap, bolt, and firing pin. MAGS: x2 blued steel 8-rd. marked "S&S 7,65" on the left side. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: unmarked period black leather holster. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their original factory blue finish, showing several small spots of light wear and thinning that have faded to gray patina, with several scattered spots of oxidative finish loss and light pitting in corresponding areas. Safety lever and rear sight retain the majority of their original nitre blue finish, exhibiting some spots of light wear and some light thinning overall. Grip screws have predominately faded to a gray patina. Mirror bore, exhibiting some spots of very light pitting, while retaining well defined rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics. Grips are very good, showing some light smoothing and a few superficial handling marks. Holster has slightly stiffened, but otherwise remains mostly malleable, exhibiting scattered spots of light to mild crazing overall. (26-383/MLW). CURIO. $800-1,200.
