SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL WITH HOLSTER. Cal. 9x19mm. S# 6419y. Bbl. 4 7/8". P.38 semi-automatic pistol mfg. by Spreewerk during WWII. Left side of the slide is marked "P.38", followed by Spreewerke's "cyq" mfg. code, and the S#, with x2 Spreewerke Eagle/88 proofs and an eagle firing proof marked on the right. Metal components exhibit a salt blue finish overall. Frame is mounted with 2-piece grooved dark brown pressed resin grips. Standard dovetailed blade front sight and U-notch rear sight. All serialized parts are matching and include the frame, slide, bbl., and locking block. MAGS: x1 "jvd" blued steel 8-rd. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: black leather holster mfg. by Gustav Sudbrack marked with an Eagle/WaA869 above mfg. code "fkx", followed by "P38" on the rear. CONDITION: excellent, with metal components retaining the vast majority of their original arsenal blue finish, exhibiting some spots of light edge wear overall. Front grip strap shows some light wear and thinning that is fading to gray patina. Mirror bore, retaining well defined rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics, to include the safety / decocking lever. Grips show a few superficial handling marks, with the left panel exhibiting an apparent hairline crack on the rear, and with the right panel exhibiting a large chip at the rear, below the frame spur. Holster remains malleable, exhibiting some minor wear, with some spots of minor age related cracking and crazing. (26-2026/MLW). CURIO. $1,000-1,500.
