NO. 2 HIGH POWER SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL WITH HOLSTER. Cal. 9x19mm. S# 0T6270. Bbl. 4 5/8". No. 2 High Power semi-automatic pistol mfg. in Canada by Inglis in July of 1944. The left side of the slide is marked "MK. I*" above "BROWNING-F.N. 9MM H.P." and "INGLIS CANADA". Right side of the slide is marked with a sole Canadian proof, with 2 Canadian proofs marked on the right side of the frame. Metal components exhibit a phosphate finish overall, save for on the bbl., which is polished in-the-white. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered black synthetic grips, featuring a lanyard stud and ring on the left side that is fitted with a khaki lanyard. Thumbprint slide features a dovetailed blade front sight and fixed square notch rear sight. All serialized parts are matching in the "stacked" fashion and include the frame, slide, and bbl. MAGS: x1 original phosphate finished 13-rd. with body and split tail floorplate marked "JI". x1 aftermarket "RA" marked 13-rd. parkerized mag. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: 1945 dated Canadian khaki canvas holster containing cleaning rod and spare mag. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their arsenal phosphate finish, exhibiting some light to mild edge wear, with some superficial handling marks present overall. Bore is bright, exhibiting consistent light pitting, as well as a few small spots of mild pitting, while retaining well defined rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics. Grips show some superficial marks from handling and storage, but otherwise remain very good overall. Holster is very good overall. (26-2084/MLW). CURIO. $1,000-1,500.
