Martini Henry Muscat 577-450 Cal Zulu War Carbine - 1879 Model

The .577/450 Martini Henry cavalry and artillery carbine was a compact, single-shot, falling-block
firearm used by British forces during the Anglo-Zulu War of 1879.

These firearms were issued to cavalry and artillery units because the longer infantry rifle was to
unwieldy on horseback or around cannons. This Historic example appears to be working as it should
but we did not test fire it.

Has various proof marks as shown - one of them Belguim Crown over ELG.

Overall condition is a 4/10 with many dents and scratches - Rear stock does have a few cracks showing.
Bluing is gone and there is a blotchy antique finish patina all over the matal surfaces.
Three peice stocks in hardwood are all tight and show antique patina.
Barrel is 20 inches long with original Iron Sights . Bore is dark.

All appears original. Comes complete wit Leather Sling
