Martini Henry Enfield 1887 Falling Block Rifle 577 Snider

The 1887 dated Martini Enfield typically refers to the Martini Henry Mark IV manufactured at the
Royal Small Arms Factory in Enfield. As a single shot, falling block breechloader chambered in
.577/450, it was one of the last major Martini action black powder service rifles before the British
Empire adopted magazine fed bolt actions.

The stamps on the Rifles indicate it is a model Mark 111 .

Wood is sound with no cracks and all peices are tight. Does show a few timy chips at top behind receiver.
Rear stock has stamps on both sides showing P260. Has an original metal butt plate.

Stamping of proof marks (see pictures) is clear. On the left side of receiver is the K2172 number.
On the right side is ENFIELD 1887 and various other stamps..

The barrel measures 32.5 inches long - Bore is dark with strong lines.
Trigger is crisp as is action.

We have not test fired this rilfle.
