GUN WITH HOLSTER. Cal. 22 / .410 GA., 2 1/2". S# 9472. Bbl. 15". Gamegetter O/U combination gun mfg. by Marbles Safety Axe Co. Left side of the breech is marked "-MANUFACTURED BY THE-/ MARBLE SAFETY AXE CO./ -GLADSTONE, MICH.U.S.A.-/ MARBLE ARMS & MFG. CO./ SUCCESSOR", with "410 X 2 1/2" marked on the right. Extractor is marked "CALIBERS - 22 & 44". Left side of the frame is marked with a stylized "GAME GETTER", with "PATENT/ ALLOWED" marked on the right. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall, save for on the trigger and hammer, which exhibit a case colored finish. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered brown hard rubber grips, each featuring the Marble trademark logo at the top of the panel. Folding stock exhibits a nickel plated finish. Fixed brass beaded blade front sight with dovetailed flip-up U-notch rear sight, and Marbles tang mounted aperture sight. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: unmarked period brown leather holster with shoulder strap. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting a few scattered spots and patches of light to mild wear that is fading to gray patina, as well as some superficial handling marks overall. Right side of frame exhibits 2 patches of mild to moderate pitting, with moderate pitting present on the grip frame, predominately beneath the right grip panel. Hammer retains large amounts of its original vibrant case colored finish, showing wear along the top strap that is fading to gray. Trigger retains good case coloring in protected areas, with the front face also having worn to a gray patina. Bbls. are bright, exhibiting scattered spots of light pitting and some scattered small patches of mild to moderate pitting, with the rifled bbl. retaining good rifling throughout. Grips show some light smoothing, as well as some superficial handling marks, but otherwise remain sound. Proper manual mechanics. Stock retains the majority of its original nickel plated finish, showing some scattered spots of flaking and oxidation. Brown leather holster remains malleable, exhibiting scattered handling marks, and spots of crazing overall. Stitching along top left edge has torn.
