Lot of Four (4) Bayonets: 1.) WWII German K98 bayonet with matching steel scabbard and frog, #6770e, both with "42asw" maker's code (E&F Horster), blue finish, with grooved Bakelite grips. In fair condition, blade retains approx. 40% blue, and the front half has larger spots of cleaned erosion. Pommel with frosted oxidation. Scabbard has no dents but shows considerable finish wear and toning. Frog is fair. 2.) RIA M1905 bayonet with reproduction leather scabbard. Blade with standard maker's marks and "1907" date. In fair condition. Blade has been cleaned and there is patina and light pitting scattered throughout. Replacement smooth wood grips fit poorly. Reproduction scabbard is near excellent. 3.) Arisaka Type 30 bayonet with rubberized scabbard. Bayonet manufactured by Toyada Automatic Loom Works. Bayonet is in good condition, retaining majority of the blue finish on the blade; pommel and crossguard are lightly pitted with dark patina. Grips are fair. Scabbard body is unusually supple and flexible; belt hanger has hardened with age and shows flaking to some of the rubberized material. 4.) British Pattern 1913 Bayonet, manufactured by Remington, dated "1 17"; British proofs on the opposite side of the ricasso. Grooved wood grip. No scabbard. In good condition. Metal is gray with general dark specks and a few larger spots of dark patina. Grips show moderate age and wear. Est.: $350-$550/lot.
