LOT OF TWO WW2 FINNISH BOLT ACTION RIFLES.
1) Finnish M28 Mosin Nagant Bolt Action Rifle. Cal. 7.62x54R. S# 11781. Bbl. 27" with Marathon import marking. Blade front sight with protective ears. M91 style rear sight with Finnish graduations. Matching numbers on bbl. shank & bolt. Other parts are mismatched as-is typical for Finn Mosins. Bbl. shank has "SY" ""D" & boxed "SA" markings. RIght side of bbl. has lined-out "S56239" Civil Guard District. Arsenal blue finish. Hardwood stock set with bottom mounted sling swivels & rounded finger joints. Cleaning rod present. CONDITION: stock set has arsenal rework finish with a thin 5" crack on handguard, some small plug repairs, a few light gouges, scattered dings, handling marks & scratches. Metal retains 60% arsenal blue with left side of receiver & rear band being cleaned to bright with pitting & oxidation, scattered edge wear, silvering, oxidation & handling marks. Action functions properly when hand cycled. Very good bright bore with a counterbore at muzzle, strong rifling & some light frosting. (25-5816/MJC).
2) Finn Marked M38 Terni Carcano. S# C6886. Bbl. 19". Tall blade front sight. Fixed rear sight. Matching numbers on bbl. & stock. 1938 dated bbl. with two Finn "SA" stamps & Terni arsenal marking. Arsenal blue finish with bolt assembly having a case colored appearance. Beech stock set with left side sling provisions. Left side of butt has strong 1939 dated Terni roundel. CONDITION: stock shows scattered dings, scratches, handling marks & some finish loss. Metal retains 90% arsenal blue with scattered fading, light oxidation, edge wear, a few dings & handling marks.
