LOT OF TWO SOUTH AMERICAN MAUSER BOLT ACTION
RIFLES. This lot consists of the following:
1) DWM 1895 Chilean Mauser Rifle. Cal. 7.62 NATO. S# M2184. Bbl. 29" with Century import marking. Standard Chilean 1895 sights. Stock has no discernable number & rear sight parts are mismatched but other visible parts are matching to receiver. Receiver has faint Chilean crest. Rear of receiver has "7.62 N" conversion marking. Left side of receiver has DWM & Chileano markings. Blued finish. Walnut stock set with white paint rack number on left side of butt & bottom mounted sling swivels. Matching numbered cleaning rod present. CONDITION: refinished stock set has added finish with scattered dings, chipping, handling marks, scratches & staining. Metal is mostly a gray color with scattered oxidation, traces of bluing, dings, pitting & handling marks. Action functions properly when hand cycled. Bore has strong rifling but some scattered pitting & dried grease. (25-5345/MJC).
2) DWM Argentine 1891 Bolt Action Carbine. Cal. 7.65. Arg. S# C0886. Bbl. 18". Aftermarket bead front sight. Williams rear sight. Receiver is drilled & tapped for scope mounting. Matching numbers on receiver & bbl. Other parts are unnumbered or mismatched. Receiver ring has faint Argentine crest. Bolt handle has been altered. Blued finish. Walnut stock set with aftermarket bottom mounted sling studs. No handguard present. CONDITION: refinished stock has added finish, a large armorer repair at toe, some other plug repairs, a crack behind upper tang, some chipping, small cracks, scattered dings, handling marks & scratches. Metal shows a fading old reblue with scattered oxidation more heavy in some areas, edge wear, handling marks & dings. Action functions properly when hand cycled. Bore shows scattered frosting & oxidation but good rifling. (25-5355/MJC). BOTH CURIO. $600-900 for pair.
