LOT OF TWO MILITARY MAUSER BOLT ACTION RIFLES.
1) DWM CHILEAN 1895/61 MAUSER BOLT ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 308 Win. S# K566. Bbl. 29" with Century import marking. Blade front sight that is bent. Matching numbers on bolt parts. Other parts mismatched. Receiver ring has Chilean crest. Left side of reciever has DWM & Chileano markings. Rear of receiver has "7.62 N" marking denoting arsenal upgrade to 7.62 NATO. Arsenal rework blued finish. Walnut stock set with bottom mounted sling swivels. Left side of stock has strong Chilean 1895 dated cartouche. Cleaning rod present. CONDITION: stock set shows a few chips, scattered dings, abrasions, staining & handling wear. Metal is turning gray with strong arsenal blue along the exposed edges, floorplate appears to be a plum color, some light oxidation, dried cosmoline, edge wear & handling marks. Action functions properly when hand cycled. Very good bore with strong rifling. (25-5840/MJC).
2) SWEDISH M96 MAUSER BOLT ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 6.5x55. S# 355053. Bbl. 29" with Century import marking. Standard Swedish M96 sights. Cleaning rod is mismatched but other visible parts are matching with floorplate being crudely renumbered to match in modern font. Receiver ring has Carl Gustafs marking with 1915 date. Arsenal blue finish. Hardwood stock set with bottom mounted sling swivels. Cleaning rod present. Bore has a "2" over triangle for bore condition. Right side of butt also has 4 vacant screw holes from where a data plate once was. Underside of wrist has strong crown inspection stamp. CONDITION: stock set appears lightly sanded with 5" cracks on both sides of butt, a small tang crack, scattered dings, handling marks & scratches. Metal is turning gray with strong traces of arsenal blue finish, edge wear, dings, oxidation more heavy on buttplate & handling marks. Action functions properly when hand cycled.
