LOT OF 6 US FIGHTING KNIVES.
This lot consists of the following US military knives:
1) US M3 Fighting Knife. Crossguard has Utica & M3 markings. M8 scabbard made by BMCO with canvas frog. CONDITION: fair with scabbard staining, edge wear, oxidation & age related wear.
2) US M3 Fighting Knife. Crossguard has Utica & M3 markings. Pommel has nut that appears to be a non-military replacement. M8 scabbard made by BMCO with canvas frog. CONDITION: good with scattered oxidation, edge wear & dings on metal. Leather & scabbard show scattered scuffing, staining & flaking.
3) USN Mark 2 Knife. Camillus & USN markings on crossguard. USN MK2 scabbard & canvas frog. CONDITON: fair with blade showing sharpening scratches & heavy silvering. Metal otherwise shows scattered oxidation. Leather handles show heavy handling & age wear. Other parts show scuffing & staining.
4) Cutdown US M1905 Bayonet. 1919 dated RIA M1905 bayonet cutdown & turned into a fighting knife. No scabbard or buttons present. Chrome finish. CONDITION: metal shows notable flaking finish & oxidation. Wooden handles have "GM" initials some cracks, dings & handling marks.
5) Camillus Ka Bar Style Knife. Blade has Camillus, NY markings. Knife & black leather scabbard otherwise appear unmarked. Black leather handles. CONDITION: good with edge wear & scratches along blade, scattered fading to gray, dings & oxidation. Leather shows staining, age related wear & crazing.
7) Kar Bar Knife. Blade has "KA-BAR/OLEAN, NY" marking. Unmarked leather scabbard. CONDITION: blade appears to have traces of an old reblue with overall edge wear & oxidation. Other metal parts show scattered oxidation, fading to gray & staining. Leather handles show staining & scuffing. Scabbard shows overall flaking, scuffing & staining. (02-25622/MJC). $300-500 for lot.
